today i started school again. it's my senior year of college. that bachelor's degree in philosophy is almost within my gnarled little grasp, but, being senior year at UCLA's philosophy department, it means lots of work.
EDIT 12/26: HAHAHAHA CAN'T LET YOU DO THAT, IMMANUEL KANT yeah that quarter is over. however, a new quarter starts in a couple weeks so below still applies:
so in hopes of preventing people from being all "hey you should do a comic about Trixie singing 'You're Only Second Rate'" and i have to be all "um bro i did that already," have the Master List of Uno's My Little Pony Song Comics:
Nightmare Moon - Be Prepared
Mr. Discord's Song
Trixie - You're Only Second Rate
Zecora - Don't Go to the Forest
Dr. Adorable - A Brand New Day
Ahuizotl - Snuff Out the Light
Queen Chrysalis - My Lullaby
Iron Will - I'll Make a Man Out of You
Angel Bunny - Hellfire
This is Nightmare Night
Savages
King Sombra - In the Dark of the Night
Welcome to the Diamond Dogs
Trixie - Hex Girl
of course, that is hardly the only stuff i'm doing. i have future comics planned! that's right, uno used Plan for the Future, and while it's usually not very effective, this time it actually worked. so i have some songs either ready to go or being strongly considered, including but not limited to:
-"Poor Unfortunate Souls" from The Little Mermaid
-the Darkwing Duck theme
-"It's Tough to Be a God" from The Road to El Dorado
-"Are You In or Out?" from Aladdin and the King of Thieves
-"How Bad Can I Be?" from The Lorax
-"Prince Charmless" from The Secret of Anastasia - yes, this song
-"Perfect Isn't Easy" from Oliver & Company
-"The Plagues" from The Prince of Egypt
-"Friends on the Other Side" from The Princess and the Frog
-some manner of Irish drinking song, just in time for St. Patrick's Day ha ha ha not really
-"The Devil Went Down to Georgia" by the Charlie Daniels Band
and of course, i am open to suggestions, as long as what you suggest could reasonably fit in with either the songs listed above or the songs i've already used for comics. so, like, if you come to me with this shrieky death-metal white power concept album and expect me to make a My Little Pony comic about that, i will tell you no and possibly inform the FBI about you.
i also have a fanfic. still can't quite believe i'm doing this, but then again, i still can't really believe mashup comics of My Little Pony and Disney songs have brought over half a million pairs of eyeballs to my dA gallery, so there ya go.
needless to say, although i've never really taken requests before, i'll be super ultra omega extreme not taking requests until about June of next year. and all of this stuff is subject to the availability of free time on my part, as well as my will to keep on living after i've read thirty pages of Hegel's Phenomenology and yet have not understood a single word of it.
so that is what's going on. and the state of the uno is strong (but not for long).
EDIT 2/17: some of y'all who watch me may be wondering why my giant song comics keep appearing in your watch list. the reason for that is that i'm updating the description with translated comics or recordings or PMVs or whatever, as i get them, and i want to make sure people see them. often i've had someone send me something they made for a comic that i posted months ago, and traffic has slowed down to like ten views a day, and if someone's going to go to the trouble of making something out of my big dumb comics i'd like to make sure it gets seen. so that's what's going on with that.

To the tune of "Zero to Hero" from Hercules.
P.S. I have updated my Legilis F drawing, hpe you can check it out.
-you need some economics to understand Marx and Adam Smith, among others
-you need a decent grasp of Christian theology to understand roughly a thousand years' worth of Western thinkers
-you need a decent grasp of art to understand figures like Horkheimer and Adorno and Heidegger (although really understanding Heidegger is probably impossible)
-to follow modern debates over the philosophy of mind, you need a healthy dose of psychology and even some CS
-you need a decent grasp of politics to understand virtually any political thinker
-you need a good grasp of science to understand philosophy from about the 16th century on
-you need some math if you want to follow the likes of Frege and Russell and the early Wittgenstein
-you need a decent understanding of language if you're going to follow much of American philosophy today
-you need a strong grasp of history to understand any philosopher
Then after listening to the actual song and contextualizing the lyrics, I figured your comic will be about the battle between Celestia and Nightmare Moon, leading to the villain's lunar exile.
